Who says you can't dress up while running errands? Every time I step out my front door, I take it as just another opportunity to show of my style! Armed with my Starbucks and yet another pair of black booties, I was ready to face whatever the day had to bring.

For my 18th birthday, my best friend got us both lawn seats for the Paramore/Fall Out Boy concert tour!  I will admit that I was a little worried about not being able to see due to the nature of lawn seats, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We picked out a nice spot in the front of the lawn, spread out our blanket, and enjoyed the music. If you've got the opportunity to see these bands live in concert, you should definitely go!

NoDa = North of Davidson

My photographer and I ventured over to a new district the other day in order to explore a more eclectic side of town.  NoDa welcomed us with bright colors, wall-sized murals, pure self-expression, and (my most exciting find of the day) my favorite popsicle stand. We finished off the night at a little french bakery to enjoy salted caramel brownies and macaroons - yum.

I took a little inspiration from A. Wang and tried out the "half-buttoned" shirt concept - I've got to say, I really loved the look! It was a perfect match for my flowy black shorts and lace bralette. To finish off the outfit, I threw on my favorite black fedora, grabbed by Balenciaga, and was off for an adventure!

Simplicity Speaks

When it comes to fashion, I have always been of the mindset that simple truly is better. You don't always have to have bright pops of color and crazy cutouts to make a statement. Sometimes, simplicity can have the biggest impact. To keep from erring on the side of boring, however, I chose my asymmetrical Zara skirt, a chunky stud necklace, and strappy sandals. These items add interest to the outfit without going overboard. Last, but not least, I threw on a red lip: a simple, yet daring touch.

Festival Daze | Welcome to the Dark Side

For my second festival themed look, I opted for something a little darker. Playing with textures like lace, velvet, and tulle helps to keep the outfit interesting instead of falling flat like a traditional black ensemble. Inspired by the more bohemian looks worn at festivals like Coachella and The Governor's Ball, I incorporated a flower crown and a little fringe to my normally edgy style. I had so much fun with this shoot, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out (especially the balloons)! Let me know what you think!

Just thought I'd share a quick outfit of the day with you guys featuring my new sneakers and hat! I am absolutely loving the way white converse can add a sporty edge to any outfit. Today was blazing hot, so I used a floppy fedora to shield my face from the sun. Let me know what you think!

Goodbye Highschool!

I'm done; I'm finally finished with my high school career.

To celebrate this momentous event, I wore this gorgeous beaded dress with a peacock detail. The bright colors and fun pattern were perfect for the celebratory mood. To complement the dress, I chose an understated pair of nude wedges. They were the perfect alternative to spiky heels while still giving me some height - I couldn't risk tripping on stage!

It's so hard to believe that I will never again be a student at the institution I've spent the last thirteen years of my life. As amazing as this experience has been, it is truly a bitter sweet time in my life. Yes, I am leaving a place that is safe and well-loved; however, I get to move on to bigger and better things - most notably, college. In a few short months, I will be taking my first steps on to campus as a college freshman. It's terrifying, but I can't wait! Goodbye, high school.
