Dress Nordstrom | Bangles Nordstrom | Fedora Nordstrom | Bag Balenciaga | Shoes Urban Outfitters

This post is likely going to be brief because I love these photos so much that I kind of want to let them speak for themselves. I think that the length of this classic, black maxi is so perfectly balanced by the side slit as well as the mesh/lace detail on the waist. These little accents are so unique and allow for a little bit of subtle skin exposure. This outfit may be all black, but it is far from boring. I'm obsessed. What more can I say?

Matching-Sets-Trend--598x340
Photo: She Finds

Recently, a lot of people have asked me about my favorite F/W 2014 trend. Without fail, my answer is always the matched set. There is something so satisfying about a top and bottom that go so perfectly together that it looks like they were, well, made for each other. In my opinion, there's no easier way to put together an ensemble. The trend tells you exactly what to wear together, and nobody can call you out for being too "matchy-matchy." I also love the versatility of this trend. You can wear just the top, and you can wear just the bottom, or you can wear them together!

However, these dynamic duos can be difficult to find within a certain price range. The solution? Two pieces that weren't necessarily meant to be worn together but definitely could be. It's a simple way to stay under your budget but still achieve the same look. The sets below were created with tops and bottoms from two entirely different stores, yet they look like they match! The key is to stick with patterns that are easily found among many retailers like stripes, plaid, or even polka dots.

There's something so unique, and, yet, completely obvious about this trend that I adore. What's your take on the trend? Is it too monotonous or a match made in heaven?

Tee Nordstrom Rack | Skirt Forever21 | Wedges Dolce Vita | Watch Marc Jacobs

Once upon a time, when it was still sunny and 90 degrees out, I slipped on this all leather ensemble for a day out with my best friend. After lots of a laughs and a long day, this series of photos got filed away into my computer, only to be found very recently. Oops! My deepest apologies.

Slightly out of season as this outfit may be, I couldn't resist the urge to share it with all of my lovely readers. I'm still in love with the idea of wearing an outfit of leather from head to toe. This t-shirt and skater skirt were a match made in heaven. Paired together, they create a little bit of a drop waist with the skirt just flaring out from underneath the tee. Although I loved my strappy wedges with this outfit, they came off for a few shots in order to indulge myself in a mid-photoshoot dip in the water.

Over the summer, my family and I took a trip to one of my favorite cities: Charleston, South Carolina. I love the beautiful beaches, the historical significance, and the incredible food. Here are a few (or a little more than a few) pictures of sunset walks on the beach, my all-time-favorite farmer's market, the battery, discovering new shops while wandering downtown, crab cake eggs benedict, and finishing the trip off with a strawberry lemonade with my toes in the sand.

Top Nordstrom | Skirt Goodwill | Shoes Topshop | Necklace Dior

Sorry I haven't posted in so long! Moving in to college and adjusting to life here really has sucked up all of my time. Here's a long-awaited outfit post!

Some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe are the ones I find in the thrift store. The amazing deal you get makes the purchase just that much more exciting. I love this totally 90s/school girl plaid skirt I found for a fraction of its original price at my local Goodwill. The weather didn't allow for anything other than my ribbed tank and chunky sandals; however, I accessorized with my mom's vintage Dior necklace. What's your opinion on thrifting?
